RANCHI – In a surprising aftermath of the central government’s decision regarding the 2,000 rupee notes, a bundle of these notes were found abandoned on the streets of Ranchi.
Previously, these notes had become increasingly rare in circulation, not only in the market but also in the banks.
But now, bundles of these notes are being found scattered in public areas.
A traffic policeman in Ranchi made an unexpected discovery near the Shani temple.
Maqbool Ali, a local traffic policeman on duty at Shani temple, found 10 pieces of 2,000 rupee notes lying on the road, a total of 20,000 rupees.
The notes were located on the Harmu Bypass Road, near the temple.
Upon finding the money, Ali attempted to locate the owner but without success.
He then took the responsible decision of depositing the money in the police control room.
