Tata Steel delivers 700 oxygen cylinders to East Singhbhum district

100 cylinders handed over to DC Suraj Kumar, remaining 600 cylinders to be sent to hospitals directly

Jamshedpur: Tata Steel today handed over 100 oxygen cylinders to the East Singhbhum district. Another 600 cylinders would be delivered directly to the hospitals.

The company, as a part of its corporate social responsibility is providing 3000 oxygen cylinders to the state of Jharkhand.

The East Singhbhum district will get 700 cylinders. Out of these, the first consignment of 100 oxygen cylinders were delivered to the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Mr Suraj Kumar. Remaining 600 cylinders would be delivered directly to the hospitals of the district.

Tata Steel donates 700 oxygen cylinders to East Singhbhum district as a part of its CSR.

The Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar said that a request was made to Tata Steel on behalf of the district administration. Responding to the request, Tata Steel has supplied these cylinders as a part of its CSR program.

In view of the possibility of a 3rd wave of Covid-19, the district administration wants to keep a stock of oxygen cylinders to ensure that there is no shortage of oxygen cylinders when they are needed most.
