Coronavirus causes no death on 3rd consecutive day, total stays at 356

44 new cases on Saturday, recovery rate 91%, mortality 2.2%, positivity 5.1%

Jamshedpur: There is good news on coronavirus pandemic front. The virus has not claimed any life on Saturday. This was third day that went without any life being lost to the pandemic. And it confirms that the pandemic may very well be receding, even while it is on the rise in many states in the country, including New Delhi.

According to the official data, 44 new coronavirus infection cases were detected in East Singhbhum district on Saturday, taking the total infection cases in the district to 16,164.

As no death was reported on Saturday, the total death toll for the district remained static at 356.

According to data made available by the district officials, a total of 3,16,966 samples have been tested in the district. Out of these, 3,00,802 samples have tested negative, while, 16,164 samples have tested positive.

On Saturday itself, 42 patients were also cured and discharged from different hospitals and home quarantine. Till date, 14,613 patients have already been cured and discharged in the district.

For now, the district has 1,195 active coronavirus cases. As per official data, the recovery rate for East Singhbhum has climbed up to 91%, while the mortality rate is at 2.2%. The positivity rate for the district is 5.1%.
