Corona causes third death in Jamshedpur, another Sonari resident dies Saturday night in TMH

Jamshedpur: Covid-19 has caused one more death in Jamshedpur. A 55-year-old resident of Sonari succumbed to Covid-19 infection relation complications in TMH ICU.

With this the Corona death toll in the city has reached three.

According to sources, the deceased, who succumbed to Covid-19 Saturday night, was being treated in the ICU of TMH. He was admitted in the hospital after gall bladder and liver related problems as well as pneumonia symptoms.

Sources say the patient was suffering from cancer. He was earlier treated outside the state, but had returned to the city and was admitted in TMH ten days back. He was a resident of Sonari. His report was positive for Covid-19. He died due to complications Saturday night.

The family and the administration have been informed about the demise of the patient.

This is the third Covid-19 related death in Jamshedpur. With this two Sonari residents have succumbed to the infection.

Even the previous Saturday proved fortuitous for the city as one man and a woman succumbed to Covid-19 related complications. Previous Saturday two deaths occurred on the same day.

On that day, in the morning at around 12 a.m. a 71-year-old Sonari resident had succumbed to complications due to Corona. As the city and its administration were trying to cope with the impact, another patient, a 88-year-old woman of Sakchi, Baradwari had died due to breathing difficulties.

Before those two deaths, i.e. till a week ago, Jamshedpur had zero death tally. And two deaths on a single day previous Saturday and one more this last Saturday have sent a wave of alarm and concern through the district administration as well as health-care workers.
