Strict Measures Enforced to Ensure Compliance and Security
Campaigning for the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha elections ended at 5:00 pm on Thursday, with District Deputy Commissioner cum Election Officer Annay Mittal and SSP Kaushal Kishore outlining the regulations in a press conference.
JAMSHEDPUR – Campaigning for the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha elections ceased at 5:00 pm on Thursday.
District Deputy Commissioner cum Election Officer Annay Mittal and SSP Kaushal Kishore provided details regarding the end of the campaign.
They announced that no political activity or campaigning is permitted after 5:00 pm.
Outside workers and leaders are prohibited from entering the city, and any violation will result in legal action related to the elections.
Mittal also mentioned that voter receipts provided by candidates must not display any election symbols or candidate photos.
On the security front, SSP Kaushal Kishore assured that extensive arrangements have been made.
Additional security forces have been deployed, and a significant police presence will be maintained at polling booths.
In case of any incidents, Quick Response Teams (QRT) will be available to manage and control the situation.
Kishore also noted that 18 cases have been registered under the Code of Criminal Procedure (CCA) related to the elections, with seven cases resolved so far.
These measures aim to ensure a fair, secure, and orderly election process in Jamshedpur.
