Tragic Incident Exposes Railway Police’s Delayed Response in Adityapur
A woman sustained critical injuries late Wednesday evening at Adityapur railway station after a severe accident on the tracks involving the Tata-Nagpur passenger train. This incident highlighted significant issues with the railway police’s response time and approach to emergencies.
JAMSHEDPUR – Late Wednesday, a distressing event unfolded at Adityapur railway station where a woman was critically hurt while trying to board a train.
The woman became entrapped on the tracks during her attempt to board the moving Tata-Nagpur passenger train.
The accident resulted in severe injuries, severing her hand and leg.
Despite her critical injuries, she remained on the track for nearly an hour, suffering greatly before assistance arrived.
Approximately an hour after the accident, the railway police arrived and facilitated her transport to Tata Main Hospital for urgent medical care.
The woman’s identity has not yet been disclosed.
Following the incident, TMC leader Babu Tanti criticized the railway police’s handling of emergencies, highlighting their focus on their own ‘money concerns’ over immediate response and human compassion.
Tanti noted that such tragic events are not isolated, indicating a troubling pattern at Adityapur station.
