In a private ceremony held at his residence in Mumbai, Ratan Tata, the Chairman Emeritus of Tata Group, was awarded the prestigious KISS Humanitarian Award 2021. The award recognizes his profound contributions to social development and his exemplary leadership within the corporate sphere. This special event was marked by the attendance of significant figures including Tata Group Chairman N. Chandrasekaran and three-time Grammy Award winner Ricky Cage.

MUMBAI – The award, given by Achyuta Samanta, the founder of KIIT and KISS, celebrates Tata’s longstanding commitment to humanitarian causes.

Tata, known for his modest acceptance of such honors, received the award in a private setting due to health concerns and recent avoidance of public appearances.

The decision to accept the award this year followed after a personal appeal from Samanta, emphasizing the importance of the recognition.

Tata expressed profound gratitude upon receiving the honor, considering it one of the most significant moments of his life.

Samanta praised Tata’s virtues and contributions, sharing a personal connection to the Tata legacy through his father’s previous employment with the company.

The KISS Humanitarian Award, initiated in 2008, is the highest honor conferred by KIIT and KISS, aimed at acknowledging significant contributions to humanitarian efforts globally. Previous awardees include world leaders, Nobel laureates, and other notable personalities, reflecting the award’s esteemed status and global recognition.
