Jharkhand CM Warns Against Misinformation on Social Media

Champai Soren Addresses Misinformation Regarding Construction Materials on Roofs

Jharkhand’s Chief Minister Champai Soren has spoken out against the misrepresentation of routine construction materials found on rooftops in Ranchi as a communal issue.

RANCHI – Jharkhand’s Chief Minister Champai Soren has spoken out against the misrepresentation of routine construction materials found on rooftops in Ranchi as a communal issue.

The Chief Minister clarified on social media that bricks and stones found on roofs in Hindpiri, Lake Road, and Main Road were construction materials, not indications of communal tension.

Ranchi Police conducted a routine check using drones on April 15, identifying construction materials on several rooftops, which were then ordered to be removed.

The materials were found on the rooftops of homes both under construction and recently completed, owned by individuals from diverse communities.

Soren urged the public and media to avoid spreading rumors and stated that police have been directed to act against those propagating false information.

His statement came after some media outlets and social media posts had misleadingly suggested a communal motive behind the presence of these materials.
