JAMSHEDPUR – In preparation for Ram Navami on April 17 and the following immersion ceremony on April 18, the local administration has made comprehensive arrangements to maintain harmony and safety.
Rapid Action Force jawans will be deployed in identified sensitive areas to prevent any untoward incidents during the festivities.
Video surveillance will be a crucial component of the security strategy, with instructions issued by SDO of Dhalbhum, Parul Singh, for the video recording of both the procession and immersion ceremony.
Additional video photography teams will be stationed along the procession routes to ensure thorough monitoring of the events.
The administration has installed CCTV cameras at key points, which will be monitored from the city police control room to enhance security measures further.
The district has been organized into 25 zones and six super-zones, where officials will coordinate with local urban bodies to ensure the cleaning of ghats and roads for the festivities.
The administration has also partnered with corporate sectors and Jusco to provide water supply through tankers to the akharas participating in the processions.
Continuous communication between all police stations and local akhara committees has been mandated to foster a peaceful festival environment.
Senior officials, including the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ananya Mittal and Senior Police Superintendent Kishore Kaushal, have provided specific instructions for the peaceful execution of the festival.
Efforts are also being made to ensure uninterrupted electricity, drinking water, and smooth roads for the processions, as directed by the DC.
