6th National Para Badminton Championship Heats Up
Day 2 of the 6th National Para Badminton Championship showcases intense matches, highlighting the prowess of participants from across India.
JAMSHEDPUR – The ongoing 6th National Para Badminton Championship at the JRD Tata Sports Complex saw around 300 knockout matches on its second day, featuring athletes from states like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala, Haryana, and Tamil Nadu.
With the championship set to conclude on March 23, an additional 100 knockout matches are anticipated tomorrow, further intensifying the competition among the para badminton athletes.
The championship, a collaborative effort by Tata Steel and Tata Steel Foundation with the Badminton Association of India, Para Olympics, and Jharkhand Badminton Association, aims to foster inclusivity and elevate para sports awareness in the country.
Key results from Day 2 included notable victories across various categories, such as Sarumathi of Tamil Nadu and Abu Hubaida of Uttar Pradesh, showcasing the exceptional talent and determination of the participants.
As the event progresses, it continues to highlight the incredible skill and sportsmanship of para badminton players, setting a stage for national recognition and celebration of diversity within the sports community.
The championship also provided participants with an opportunity to visit the Centre For Excellence (CFE), further enriching their experience in Jamshedpur.
