JAMSHEDPUR – NIT Jamshedpur recently concluded a seven-day workshop titled ‘Development of Nano-Robots and their Potential Applications,’ sponsored by SERB (DST GoI).
The event drew participants and expert speakers from prestigious institutions like IISc, IITs, NITs, and others across India.
Faculty from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, which hosted the workshop, were lauded for their development initiatives and organizational efforts.
Professor Sanjay, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, and Professor M K Sinha, Dean of R&D, highlighted the institute’s research activities and contributions.
Deputy Director Professor R V Sharma encouraged students to engage actively, emphasizing the workshop’s importance for future technological advancements.
Director Professor Gautam Sutradhar’s support and encouragement were pivotal in organizing the event, promoting a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Siddharth Roy of Tata Steel, serving as the chief guest, along with NIT faculty members Dr. Rinku Kumar Gouda, Dr. Arvind Patel, Dr. KSK Sudhanshu, and Dr. Shailesh Kumar Jha, made significant contributions to the workshop’s success.
Over 30 final year B. Tech, M. Tech, and PhD students from various institutes across India participated, exploring the latest in Nano-robotics.
The workshop served as a platform for knowledge exchange on Nano-robotics and their broad applications in different fields.
