Tata Steel’s Inter-JDC Rafting Tournament draws 260 participants from 32 units, culminating in an electrifying showdown at the Water Sports Centre, Dimna.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s Sports Department set the stage for a dynamic display of rafting skills on September 1 and 2.
Held at the scenic Water Sports Centre in Dimna, the Inter-JDC Rafting Tournament was graced by Shatrughan Kumar Roy, Vice President of Tata Workers’ Union (TWU), who participated in the prize distribution ceremony along with Committee Member Vinod Kumar Thakur.
Enthusiasm ran high as the tournament drew 260 participants from 32 JDC units under the Tata Steel banner.
Participants had their oars in the water, rowing their way through a highly competitive field.
Coke Plant Team rowed their way to a decisive victory, besting their colleagues with exceptional skill and sportsmanship.
Not far behind, the Hot Strip Mill team secured the runner-up position, while Engineering Services was acknowledged as the 2nd runner-up.
The event wasn’t just about competition; it was also about fair play and adherence to rules.
Ensuring the competition’s integrity were renowned technical officials Anwesha Sinha, Ankit Mishra, and the Tata Steel Adventure team, who conducted their roles with aplomb.
