9th DBMUN Focuses on Humanitarian Response, Sustainable Development, and Peace in Annual Inter-School Event
The Ninth Edition of DAV Public School’s DBMUN Conference 2023 draws students from 10 schools across Ranchi, Chaibasa and Jamshedpur to debate global issues, fostering 21st-century skills.
JAMSHEDPUR – The DAV Public School, Bistupur, rolled out the red carpet for young diplomats and thought leaders as it inaugurated the Ninth Edition of its much-anticipated Model United Nations Conference (DBMUN) on Friday, 1st September 2023 at 9:00 am.
The two-day annual event, lauded as the Steel City’s oldest and largest school-run MUN, drew an impressive 356 student delegates from 10 different schools in Ranchi, Chaibasa, and Jamshedpur.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Humanitarian Response, Sustainable Development and Sustaining Peace, The Three Sides of The Same Triangle”.
It serves as a unique platform for students to tackle pressing global issues, nurturing essential 21st-century skills like collaboration, critical thinking, and global awareness.
According to tradition, the event commenced with the singing of the DAV Gaan.
The ceremonial lamp was lit by Ms. Pragya Singh, the Principal of DAV Public School, Bistupur, who is also the ARO of DAV Public Schools in Jharkhand Zone E.
In her welcome address, the Principal underlined the significance of understanding diverse national perspectives.

She encouraged the delegates to be the best versions of themselves and to contribute to a unified world.
She stressed that the ultimate success of the conference would be the participants’ ability to share their experiences and learnings with their community.
The conference was officially declared open by the Secretary General, Shradha Pathak.
The delegates, representing various countries, discussed agendas ranging from the Uniform Civil Code in India to Cyber Terrorism on the global stage.
The sessions concluded with participants sharing insights and gearing up to pass meaningful resolutions.
