Barhi Village Incident Exposes Dangers of Debt-Related Violence; Police Make Quick Arrests
Chicken trader Bajrang Baitha’s tragic end after asking for repayment of Rs 2,000 loan; Lohardaga police make swift arrests.
LOHARDAGA – In a horrifying incident, Bajrang Baitha, a local chicken seller, was brutally beaten to death in Barhi village under the jurisdiction of Senha police station in Lohardaga district.
The immediate reason for this violent end was a meager sum of Rs 2,000, which Baitha sought to recover from two brothers, Chhedia Oraon and Ghamru Oraon, in his village.
Upon his visit to the Oraon residence to ask for the borrowed money, a confrontation broke out, escalating into a physical assault that left Baitha dead on the spot.
Reacting to the incident, Senha police quickly swung into action and arrested both brothers, who are now facing interrogation.
The lifeless body of Bajrang Baitha has been taken to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
A case of murder has been registered by the police.
