High-Speed Incident on Chowka-Kandra Road Draws Crowd, Police Investigate
Accident involving a high-speed Tip Trailer vehicle on Chowka-Kandra road disrupts traffic; Seraikela district witnesses growing incidents of road mishaps amid administrative failures.
SERAIKELA – A high-speed Tip Trailer vehicle, bearing the license number JH05DE-3827, overturned near Raghunathpur on Chowka-Kandra road on Thursday evening.
Eyewitnesses said the driver was attempting to cross a barrier at a high speed when the vehicle capsized.
Miraculously, the driver escaped unscathed, although the accident led to a massive gathering of pedestrians, disrupting traffic flow.
Kandra police were quick to arrive at the scene and commence investigations.
Superintendent of Police Dr. Vimal Kumar, who arrived from Chandil, assessed the situation and provided directions to the local police.
Two hydra machines from Neelanchal company were ordered by police to remove the capsized vehicle.
The incident shines a spotlight on the persistent issue of speeding and overloaded vehicles on Seraikela’s roads.
District administration has failed to curb this growing menace, leading to an uptick in similar accidents across the district.
