JAMSHEDPUR – In an initiative aimed at empowering the mining sector with cutting-edge insights, Tata Steel Mining Limited (TSML) hosted a technical session on Thursday.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Bhubaneswar Chapter of the Mining Engineers Association of India (MEAI), a prominent organization in mining engineering.
Attended by mining specialists, professionals, and amateurs alike, the event served as a hub for knowledge exchange and networking.
Distinguished speaker Dr. Abani R. Samal, Principal at GeoGlobal, LLC, Utah, USA, delivered a comprehensive presentation that touched upon various aspects like mining value chain, mineral resource and reserve, and resource and reserve model accuracy.
Pankaj Satija, the Managing Director of TSML and Chairman of MEAI’s Bhubaneswar Chapter, emphasized the event’s role in fostering ethical and sustainable growth in the mining sector.
Prominent figures from Jindal Stainless Limited, Jindal Steel and Power Limited, IMFA, JSW, FACOR, and Odisha Mining Corporation were also in attendance, discussing topics like sustainable mining, mineral extraction technology, and community participation.
