JAMSHEDPUR – In a move that underscores the synergy between academia and industry, Tata Steel and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a flagship M Tech internship programme.
The initiative aims to provide a platform for talented tech-savvy individuals to gain real-world experience in research and development.
The internship spans a duration of 6-12 months, offering students an invaluable opportunity to collaborate with industry experts at Tata Steel.
This MoU represents a first of its kind in India, as it endeavors to create a pipeline of talent for the corporate sector.
Prof. J. K. Pattanayak, Officiating Director, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, Atrayee Sanyal, Vice President HRM, Tata Steel, and Debashish Bhattacharjee, Vice President, Technology and R&D, Tata Steel, were among the dignitaries present during the signing ceremony.
Atrayee Sanyal emphasized the strategic value of the internship, stating it would enable Tata Steel to tap into a reservoir of highly skilled individuals.
Debashish Bhattacharjee, who also spoke during the event, pointed out that the collaboration has the potential to significantly uplift the technology and R&D landscape across India.
