National Sports Day Event Sees Launch of 8075-Sq-Meter Fitness Park Aimed at Holistic Well-being
On National Sports Day, Tata Steel UISL inaugurates an expansive fitness zone in Bistupur, featuring a myriad of sports and exercise amenities for all age groups.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a move aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents, Tata Steel UISL inaugurated a sprawling Fitness Zone at G-Town Ground in Bistupur on National Sports Day.
The high-profile event was attended by Managing Director Raj Sinha and Vice President of Corporate Services Akya Chaudhary, who officially opened the gates of the expansive health-focused arena.
Senior General Manager of Town O&M and RE, Capt. Dhananjay Ra, JSU President Raghunath Pandey, and TWU Deputy President Shailesh Kumar Singh also attended, highlighting the significance of the initiative.
Developed over a six-month period between March and August 2023, the Fitness Zone covers an area of 8075 square meters and offers a comprehensive set of facilities to cater to different interests.
The site includes a walking track that stretches over 960 meters, 16 open gyms, a senior citizens’ zone, yoga space, and sports courts for volleyball and badminton.
The Fitness Zone also incorporates children’s play equipment and verdant green spaces, accentuating the tranquil ambiance.
Operational from 5 am to 9 am and 4 pm to 9 pm, this initiative stands as a testament to Tata Steel UISL’s commitment to promote health, well-being, and a sense of community.
