Mango Resident Pawan Yadav Killed in Cold Blood; Police Investigate as Assailants Warn of Consequences for Witnesses
Late-night shooting in Mango, Jamshedpur leaves one dead; assailants flee after threatening witnesses. Police now investigating the grim incident.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a chilling incident, Pawan Yadav, a resident of Gurdwara Basti under the jurisdiction of Mango police station, was shot dead near Shiv Mandir late Saturday night.
The assailants swiftly fled the scene after committing the crime.
Yadav was quickly taken to MGM Hospital by his colleagues in an injured state, where he was then referred to Tata Main Hospital (TMH).
After an examination at TMH, doctors declared Yadav dead.
Yadav was primarily engaged in the occupation of cow rearing and had a prior criminal record, having been jailed under the Arms Act.
His friend Deva recounts that he, Yadav, and two other companions were seated by the riverbank when three criminals approached them.
One of the criminals shot Yadav in the head and all three fled along the riverbank.
As they made their escape, the criminals warned aloud that anyone who testified would meet a similar fate.
Deva noted that two of the assailants were of short stature while one was tall.
The police are currently investigating the gruesome incident in detail.
