In a candid conversation, Thakur revealed that the union is planning to block the gates of the company’s premises in the coming days.
This drastic step is being considered in the light of the unresolved case involving contract worker Premchand Chowdhary, who was allegedly terminated by Goldline roughly eight months ago.
Thakur alleged that Chowdhary was undergoing treatment under the Employee State Insurance (ESI) scheme when he was abruptly declared unfit and subsequently relieved of his duties.
Adding to the ordeal, his final settlement has not yet been processed, he added
General Secretary Thakur stated that an official complaint about this matter has already been lodged with the Deputy Labor Commissioner.
Despite this, representatives from Goldline have failed to attend any negotiation meetings thus far.
In a stern ultimatum, Thakur mentioned that if the company fails to finalize Chowdhary’s settlement within the next 15 days, the union will proceed to block the company gate as a form of protest.
