Former Union Leader Seeks Government Intervention in Tata Cummins Dispute
Employees of Tata Cummins will stage a protest against the controversial wage settlement.
JAMSHEDPUR – Arun Kumar Singh, the former general secretary of Tata Cummins Employees Union, has called for a protest against the wage settlement at Tata Cummins Gate on Friday.
Singh and his supporters, along with the company’s employees, will gather to express their anger regarding the wage settlement.
The laborers are being compelled to sign an illegal agreement with individuals lacking the statutory right to do so.
Arun Kumar Singh has taken up the matter with the state government, writing a letter demanding the invalidation of the wage settlement.
In a separate letter to SDO Dhalbhum, Singh has sought permission for a peaceful demonstration under the constitutional right provided by Article 19(1)(b), emphasizing the discontent among the workers.
