Deputy Commissioner Leads Meeting on Dengue Prevention in East Singhbhum; Strict Measures Discussed
Second major meeting held in East Singhbhum district to discuss dengue prevention, with detailed plans to combat the disease; 155 patients currently treated.
JAMSHEDPUR – For the prevention of dengue spread in East Singhbhum district, a second major meeting was held under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri at the Khasmahal Civil Surgeon Office, Parsudih.
All administrative officials of the district, along with health department representatives and representatives of various private and government hospitals, were present.
Several strict steps were taken to combat the spread of dengue.
The meeting reviewed ongoing efforts in the area, with participation from the DDC, SDM, civil surgeon, and health department officials.
Deputy Commissioner Bhajantri informed that there has been a decrease in dengue cases in East Singhbhum district, but it has not yet been eradicated.
He noted that 155 patients are currently being treated in government and private hospitals, with one in ICU whose condition is normal.
Instructions were given to continuously spray against larvae, prevent water logging, monitor areas, raise awareness, and fine non-compliant individuals.
Bhajantri emphasized that the department is fully prepared to fight the disease but needs cooperation from the common people.
He appealed for the use of mosquito nets, wearing protective clothing, and vigilance against water logging.
