Women’s Club of NIT Jamshedpur Honors Goddess Parvati in Grand Cultural Event
Teej festival celebrated at NIT Jamshedpur with cultural programs; President of Women’s Club, Indrani Sutradhar, leads the celebration.
JAMSHEDPUR – President of Women’s Club and Institute’s Director, Indrani Sutradhar, inaugurated the Teej festival at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Family Club premises.
Distinguished guests included Prof. Goutam Sutradhar, Director of the institute, and Registrar Col. (Dr.) Nishith Kumar Rai.
Members of the Women’s Club applied mehndi and wore exquisite attire, honoring Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva.
The cultural program included dance performances and folk songs, with solo acts by Rashmi Dhalla, Sarika, Divya, Tricha, and Renu Singh.
Mrs. Priyanka Sinha won the beauty contest as Teej Queen, adding glamour to the event.
Group dance acts featured artists like Prabha Chand, Geeta Kumari, Geeta Prasad, Preeti Srivastava, Rachna Yadav, Poonam, Priyanka, Meena, and Ranjana.
Rachna Yadav and Rashmi Dhalla played significant roles in organizing the festival, with support from Prof. S. B. Prasad and Prof. Prabha Chand.
Director serenaded the gathering with his wife, Mrs. Indrani Sutradhar, contributing to the success of the event.
