Jamshedpur Public School and DAV School Steal the Show; 1,200 Students Participate
The Jamshedpur Golden Baby League witnessed a thrilling match between teams from Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) and DAV school, which ended in a 4-4 draw in the U9 age category. The tournament’s commitment to nurturing grassroots talent continues with massive participation.
JAMSHEDPUR – The exciting match took place during Week 26 of the tournament at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.
Both teams performed exceptionally well in front of goal, showcasing the budding talent within the region.
The tournament has been divided into U5, U7, U9, U11, and U13 categories and is held every Sunday morning at the Archery Ground at JRD Tata Sports Complex.
Hosted by Jamshedpur FC in conjunction with Jharkhand Football Association (JFA), Jharkhand Sporting Association (JSA), and backed by Reliance Foundation, the tournament has expanded to TFA to accommodate more students.
The aim of the tournament is to nurture development and complement the existing grassroots schools program run by Jamshedpur FC.
The addition of TFA as another venue has significantly increased the number of participants, with a total of 1,200 students attending this Sunday.
The U5s, U9s, U11s, and U7s played 14 matches each, while the U13s played 28 matches, demonstrating the vibrancy and popularity of the Baby League.
The Baby League will continue to be played at both the Archery ground at JRD Tata Sports Complex and TFA, with the possibility of more venues being added in the future, reflecting the growth and enthusiasm for football in the region.
