Late Night Shooting at Suman Sahu’s Residence; Land Dispute Suspected as Cause
Two masked criminals fire shots at deed writer Suman Sahu’s house in Lohardaga over a land dispute; family in shock, police investigating the matter.
LOHARDAGA – Two unidentified masked criminals fired late at night at the residence of deed writer Suman Sahu, located at Harmu Road in the Lohardaga Sadar police station area.
Suman Sahu narrowly escaped the firing.
The assailants fired two shots.
A bullet broke the window glass of the two-storey house and went inside the wall, while the second bullet hit the wall next to the window.
After the incident, Suman Sahu immediately informed the Sadar police station.
Police officer of Sadar police station, Sujit Kumar, reached the spot along with Dalbal and started investigating the matter.
Late at night, on the complaint of Suman Sahu, an FIR was registered regarding the incident.
The police are probing the entire matter, with a land dispute believed to be the reason behind the incident.
In this context, the victim deed writer Suman Sahu said that after having dinner late at night, he went to sleep in the room located on the second floor of his residence.
As soon as he bent down to wear slippers from the bed to go to the toilet, the bullet went inside the wall, breaking the glass of the window, while the second bullet hit the wall next to the window.
Suman Sahu’s family is in panic due to the firing incident.
Deed writer Suman Sahu said that the whole incident was recorded in the CCTV camera installed in his house, in which two youths are seen firing in the house.
After some time, both of them left on a scooty.
Suman Sahu has registered a plot in Harmu village on the instructions of the High Court.
Describing this plot as ceiling land, however, about a dozen villagers are not allowing it to be occupied, he said.
There is a dispute going on between Suman Sahu and some villagersregarding this plot.
At present, the police are investigating the entire matter.
