JAMSHEDPUR – Regarding the repair of Sluice Gate, the residents of Bagbeda township have attracted the attention of the district administration by keeping a one-day fast at Sidhu Kanhu Maidan in Bagbera, and warned of a big movement if their demands are not met.
Suluis Gate was constructed by spending crores of rupees by the department to prevent flooding in the coastal areas of Bagbera Baroda Ghat river.
The condition of Sluice Gate has become dilapidated over the last several years.
The situation is that the gate is not opened properly.
Because of this, drain water is entering hundreds of houses in the coastal areas within 2 hours of rain.
The situation has become so dire that people have to flee from the area.
The outbreak of the epidemic is also increasing.
Despite the Deputy Commissioner of the district giving many necessary guidelines to the officials of the concerned department to improve this situation, the situation remains the same.
The residents of the settlement, troubled by this situation, have written to the former Zilla Parishad.
Under the leadership of member Kishore Yadav, a one-day fasting program was organized at Bagbera Sidhu Kanhu Maidan to make the district administration aware of their problems.
A flood-like situation is being created in the rain.
He said that efforts are being made to attract the attention of the district administration by organizing a fasting program under compulsion.
The district administration will be further pressed to take appropriate action to address the situation.
