Institute of Indian Foundrymen celebrates Dr. Sutradhar’s contributions to foundry sector; Recognizes his 125 technical articles
Dr. Goutam Sutradhar, Director of NIT Jamshedpur, is honored by the Institute of Indian Foundrymen for his foundry technology expertise and significant contributions to the field.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF) has honored NIT Jamshedpur Director Dr. Goutam Sutradhar in recognition of his services to IIF and the East Zone foundry sector.
The prize was awarded to Dr. Sutradhar for his foundry technology expertise and extensive contributions to the industry.
Dr. Sutradhar is a renowned foundry technology specialist and has authored 125 technical articles, presenting 50 of them at international conferences.
His notable contributions extend to overseeing prominent institution-funded research, which has influenced the field’s advancements.
As the Eastern Region President of the Indian Institute of Foundrymen, Dr. Sutradhar is actively engaged in several professional organizations, enhancing collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Holding a PhD in Engineering and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering in Foundry Technology, his educational background has cemented his authority in the sector.
Dr. Sutradhar’s application of foundry technology has notably helped Indian Railways and Automotive Components, showcasing the practical impact of his work.
He has also been a mentor to foundry and linked enterprises, fostering growth and innovation within the industry.
The felicitation function in Kolkata was attended by Col. (Dr.) Nishith Kumar Rai, Registrar of NIT Jamshedpur, Deans, senior professors, office bearers, and students, all acknowledging Dr. Sutradhar’s commendable achievements.
