28 Schools Compete in Chess Championship; DAV Bistupur, JH Tarapore Shine
JOGGA Chess Championship sees robust competition at Mount Litera Zee School Jamshedpur; exceptional performances by DAV Bistupur and JH Tarapore.
JAMSHEDPUR – Mount Litera Zee School Jamshedpur hosted the JOGGA Chess Championship 2023-24 from August 18-19, with 28 schools participating.
DAV Bistupur and JH Tarapore School dominated the tournament, showcasing exemplary performances across categories.
Sacred Heart Convent School emerged victorious in the junior girls category, while DAV Public School Bistupur clinched the titles in the junior boys event, senior girls, and senior boys event.
Individual honors were bagged by JH Tarapore’s Pragya Bhardwaj in junior girls, DAV Bistupur’s Nikunj Agarwal in junior boys, JH Tarapore’s Sunidhi Singh in senior girls, and DAV Bistupur’s Harsh Kumar Jha in senior boys.
The ending ceremony of Mount Litera Zee School on August 19th included statements from the principal and primary guest.
The Tata Steel Sports Department Senior Manager, Anand Louis Menezes, launched the competition and awarded exceptional players with awards and trophies, marking a successful end to the event.
