Key Arrests Made in Killing of BJP Leader in Balumath Area
Police nab four in BJP leader’s murder; connection to TSPC member revealed.
RANCHI – Four persons were arrested in connection with the murder of BJP leader Rajendra Prasad Sahu.
Sahu was shot by unidentified gunmen near Doon school in the Balumath area and later succumbed to his injuries in a Ranchi hospital.
According to the SP Anjani Anjan, the accused admitted that Sahu was killed at the behest of TSPC member Akraman Ganjhu, a regional committee member of the banned Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee.
Akraman Ganjhu, who carries a bounty of Rs 15 lakh on his head, remains at large.
The four arrested individuals have been identified as Jintendra Viswakarma, Shivpujan Singh alias Motka, Ashwini Kumar Singh alias Buchchan, and Kuldip Ganjhu.
These arrested individuals were working as sleeper cells for TSPC.
During the arrest, police recovered four pistols, 30 live cartridges, four magazines, four mobile phones, and a motorcycle.
