JAMSHEDPUR – The ‘Jeevan’ Suicide Prevention Centre at Arka Jain University conducted a workshop on stress management and suicide prevention for 85 first-year BBA students.
The workshop aimed to provide the students with critical skills to deal with stress and help others who may be struggling.
Distinguished speakers discussed various aspects of stress, anxiety, and depression during the workshop.
The first session led by Gurpreet Kaur Bhatia focused on stress management techniques.
The second session, conducted by Preeti Saini, covered managing stress, anxiety, and depression.
Interactive exercises and open dialogue were employed to foster a supportive learning environment.
Faculty and program coordinators praised the effectiveness and relevance of the workshop, acknowledging the urgent need for such initiatives.
Additionally, Jeevan volunteers provided phone, face-to-face counseling, and contact information to the students, ensuring a continual support system.
