On the occasion of Sthapana Diwas of Shiv Mandir, a grand Kalash Yatra marked the start of the celebrations from Mahanand Basti, Jamshedpur to Sri Baba Mahendra Nath Shiv Temple.
JAMSHEDPUR – On the occasion of the foundation day of the Shiv Mandir, a grand Kalash Yatra was taken out from Mahanand Basti of Telco police station area of Jamshedpur to Sri Baba Mahendra Nath Shiv Temple.
The program of Foundation Day, starting from August 18, will conclude on August 23 with Purnahuti and Prasad distribution.
On the first day of the Foundation Day celebrations, both women and men devotees, dressed in traditional clothes, participated in the Kalash Yatra, accompanied by musical instruments.
Worship of Lord Bholenath marked the beginning of the Yatra.
Leaving the temple premises, the devotees traveled to the Swarnarekha River, reaching Domuhani where they collected water.
Upon reaching the temple, the devotees performed Jalabhishek of Lord Bholenath using the water from Domuhani, symbolizing a sacred ritual and devotion.
