TWU office bearers honor India’s 77th Independence Day with flag-raising at key locations and praise union leaders’ sacrifices and unity.
JAMSHEDPUR – The TWU (Trade Workers Union) marked India’s 77th Independence Day with a commemorative celebration, reflecting not just national pride but also the union’s enduring values and history.
The occasion saw TWU office bearers raising the national flag at strategic locations, including the TWU headquarters, rest house, and Bari Maidan.
Leading the ceremony, Satish Singh, TWU General Secretary, took the opportunity to praise the union’s relentless efforts in protecting the rights of its members and employees.
He was joined by TWU Deputy President Shailesh Kumar Singh, who reaffirmed the union’s commitment to independence and unity, echoing sentiments that resonate with the broader labor movement.
The event was further enriched by TWU President Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary, who reflected on the sacrifices made by union leaders during the Quit India Movement, a historic chapter that continues to inspire.
He advocated togetherness, solidarity, and environmental awareness, themes that were warmly embraced by those in attendance.
