503 SDP blood donations mark Kiranmayee Jayanti, led by Prateek Sangharsh Foundation’s director Arijit Sarkar.
JAMSHEDPUR – At the Kiranmayee Jayanti event, Arjit Sarkar, director of Prateek Sangharsh Foundation, made an impactful donation of 503 SDPs through blood donation, setting a remarkable precedent.
As a gesture of appreciation, the campaign was dedicated to the SDP Raktaveer heroes by Arijit Sarkar, the orchestrator of the initiative.
During the intricate blood donation procedure, Arijit Sarkar provided support by standing with all 503 SDP blood volunteers, highlighting solidarity.
The donation time for SDP blood, which can range from 40 minutes to an hour, is influenced by various factors including platelet count, body weight, and height.
Prospective SDP blood donors must fulfill certain criteria, such as having more than 1.5 lakh platelets, being in good health, and having prior voluntary blood donation experience.
The advertising campaign focused on the Kiranmayee Jayanti festival, connecting a cultural celebration with a noble cause.
In August 2018, the campaign was initially launched at the Jamshedpur Blood Center by Arijit Sarkar, aiming to spread awareness about SDP blood donation.
On the notable date of August 16, 2023, nine Raktaveer fighters devoted their time from noon until midnight, contributing to the cause.
