JAMSHEDPUR – The head of the school’s management committee, Nakul Kamani, presided over the grand opening of the Students Cooperative Store at NHES on August 14.
Joint Secretary Devang Gandhi also marked his presence, illuminating the occasion with his insights.
Principal of the school, Paramita Roy Chaudhury, and the head of the economics department, Kathakali Ghosh, lauded the students’ initiative and spoke about the anticipated advantages.
The venture aims to promote feelings of responsibility and entrepreneurship in the students, equipping them with essential life skills.
The earnings generated from the store’s operations will be strategically directed to benefit meritorious and academically outstanding students, reflecting the school’s commitment to education and social welfare.
The store, which sells stationery and food items during scheduled breaks, will be operated solely by students under the mentorship of their teachers.
Through this unique initiative, NHES has made a significant step forward by integrating a Financial Education program into its academic curriculum, emphasizing practical learning and financial transactions.
