BJP Jamshedpur celebrated Partition Horror Memorial Day, honoring those who lost their lives during the partition, citizens shared their struggles.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jamshedpur marked ‘Partition Horror Memorial Day’ on 14 August, paying tribute to those who lost their lives and suffered during the partition.
A seminar was organized under the chairmanship of BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar President Gunjan Yadav, where key leaders and citizens shared their experiences.
Former Chief Minister Raghubar Das addressed the audience, highlighting the country’s division due to the Muslim League’s communal politics, calling it the biggest catastrophe in human history.
MP Bidyut Baran Mahato expressed that August 14 was a black day in Indian history, a day when India’s geography, society, and culture got divided.
Sardar Gurvinder Singh Sethi emphasized the pain of partition, describing it as a date written with tears and stained with blood.
Citizens like Charanjit Lal and Avtar Singh who were displaced during the partition shared their personal accounts, painting a vivid picture of the tragedy that still haunts them.
The program was a somber occasion to remember a painful chapter of Indian history and honor those who paid the price for the nation’s division.
