Children light lamps, stand in chain to shape India’s map, honoring heroes of independence; event graced with knowledge sharing and contests.
JAMSHEDPUR – Present on this occasion were Teachers and students from both schools, including BDO Devlal Oraon and CO Jaywanti Devgam.
The children at the Anganwadi centers, such as Jirapada, Matapur, and Birdah of Chakulia Block, participated in several contests, and the winners received prizes. They discussed the importance of honoring the nation as well.
The dignitaries present at the event provided the schoolchildren with comprehensive knowledge on the country’s independence, paying homage to the heroes who lost their lives during the nation’s war for freedom.
By standing in a chain and lighting lamps, the female pupils of KNJ School and Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls’ School constructed a map of India on Monday night.
They did this as part of the Meri Mati Mera Desh program, with the guidance and assistance of child development project supervisor Savita Sinha.
