In a decisive meeting, the Seraikela-Kharsawan district committee has taken significant steps including providing scholarships to 4025 post-matriculation SC/ST students.
SERAIKELA – The district committee of Seraikela-Kharsawan had its regularly scheduled meeting on Saturday that took several key decisions.
The meeting decided to provide scholarships to 4025 post-matriculated scheduled caste tribe students in the Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
The DC of Seraikela, Ravi Shankar Shukla, presided over the meeting, which began on Saturday at 6 o’clock at the Collectorate Auditorium.
A decision was also taken to pay the 25% grant under SC/ST Act to the victims in the six cases in the district.
Present in the meeting were SP Dr Vimal Kumar, District Welfare Officer Laxman Harijan, MP and MLA representatives, along with other relevant authorities.
The discussion covered every detail of the cases of six individuals covered by the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act.
The committee members unanimously voted to pay the victims’ legal costs in the first payment of 25% of the grant amount.
Additionally, 4025 post-matriculation students were unanimously selected for the Sukriti Scholarship.
The DC examined the Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme’s (CMEGP) work progress at the meeting to guarantee the completion of open cases involving applications received in accordance with the law and to all Block Development Officers.
The goal is to increase the number of applications by executing a targeted campaign at the level and making the advantages of the program available to as many interested individuals as possible so they may start their own businesses.
