Jamshedpur FC Reserves won JSA League Premier Division after beating Tata Steel 3-1 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.
JAMSHEDPUR – The KC Murmu Award for Best Player of the Match was presented to Dhananjay Hansda of Tata Steel by Jamshedpur FC Assistant Coach, Mr. Hezirdan Ramadani.
Luckystar Lawai of Jamshedpur FC Reserves was honored with the Ramesh Mehata Award for Best Goalkeeper of the League by Mr. Dragan Draskovic, Jamshedpur FC Goalkeeping Coach.
Vikash Nayak of Tata Steel received the P Vijay Kumar Award for being the top scorer in the league from Jamshedpur FC head coach Scott Cooper.
Mukul Choudhari, CEO of Jamshedpur FC, presented Narwa Pahar Sports Club the S. Zubair Alam Award for Fair Play and congratulated all the honorees.
Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary, President of the Tata Workers Union, gave Tata Steel the Runners Up Trophy, while Mr. Chanakya Choudhary (VPCS, TATA STEEL) awarded Jamshedpur FC Reserves the Winners Trophy.
Members of Jamshedpur FC’s Football Schools program, the Jamshedpur FC senior team squad led by Head Coach Scott Cooper, and a massive fan presence made the final at JRD Tata Sports Complex a great success.
In the 95th minute, Bivan Jyoti Lasker scored his second goal to conclude the game, following Alvies Bastin’s decisive second goal for the youthful Men of Steel in the 70th minute.
The second half saw Jamshedpur FC appearing stronger and creating opportunities to score.
Shortly before halftime, the JFC Reserves equalized with a goal from Bivan Jyoti Lasker in the 43rd minute after regaining their composure.
Tata Steel took the lead with an 11th-minute goal from Dhanjay Hansdah, setting off an exciting first period where both teams exchanged blows.
Both sides’ impressive league stage runs led to the final, and a large crowd gathered under the stadium floodlights to witness a thrilling match, ultimately culminating in Jamshedpur FC Reserves being named the JSA League Premier Division champions.
