Police in Mango discover the body of a 29-year-old man, Santosh Kumar Sahu, who had hanged himself. Neighbors alerted authorities after noticing a foul odor, and a potential connection to heroin addiction is being investigated.
JAMSHEDPUR – Santosh Kumar Sahu, a 29-year-old inhabitant of Daiguttu Sahu Line under Mango Police Station, hanged himself.
The relatives of Santosh have left town.
Police were alerted by neighbors to a bad odor emanating from the residence.
Here, on Sunday morning, the police arrived at the scene after receiving the information, broke down the door to the home with the assistance of the locals, and removed the dead corpse from the noose.
After performing a panchnama and notifying the families, the police transported the deceased corpse for a postmortem.
Vinay Kumar, the police station’s in-charge, said that locals had complained about a bad odor emanating from the chamber.
Following a tip, police came and forced open the room’s door.
Santosh’s corpse was discovered hanging inside the residence. Santosh, according to family members, had a heroin addiction.
