Jharkhand Govt Effects Major Admin Shake-up, Ravi Shankar Shukla New DC of Seraikela-Kharsawan.
JAMSHEDPUR – Manjunath Bhajantri, an IAS officer from the 2011 batch serving as Deoghar DC, has been assigned as the new District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum.
He will take over from Vijaya Jadhav.
Vijaya Jadhav’s new responsibility has not been assigned yet and will join at Personnel and Administrative Reforms and Official Languages Department for now.
On Tuesday, In a major administrative reshuffle, the Jharkhand government transferred and posted 14 IAS officials on July 25, 2023.
A detailed notice of the reshuffle was disseminated by the Department of Personnel Administrative Reforms and Official Languages.
A Dodde and Ravi Shankar Shukla’s New Roles
A Dodde from the 2011 batch of IAS officers, who is now serving as the District Commissioner of Palamu, will serve as the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Dumka till further notice. In addition, Ravi Shankar Shukla, an IAS officer from the 2012 batch, who had been serving as the Dumka DC, has been named the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of the Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
Shashibhushan Mehra and Mrityunjay Kumar Baranwal’s Promotions
Shashibhushan Mehra, the former CEO of the District Council of Giridih, has been promoted to the positions of District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of the Jamtara district, effective immediately.
Registrar of cooperation committees Mrityunjay Kumar Baranwal has also been named District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Pakur.
New DCs for Palamu and Simdega
Ajay Kumar Singh, a regional director for the Jharkhand Industrial Area who graduated in 2013 has been moved and assigned to Simdega’s district magistrate and deputy commissioner position until further instructions.
Shashi Ranjan, an officer from the 2014 batch who had been assigned to the Khunti DC position, has been promoted to District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Palamu till further notice.
District Magistrates of Dhanbad and Gumla
In 2014, Varun Ranjan, an official, was sent to Pakur as the deputy commissioner; as of right now, he serves as the district magistrate and deputy commissioner of Dhanbad.
Karan Satyarthi, an officer from the 2016 batch who had been assigned to the position of Product Commissioner, has also been shifted and is now serving as the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Gumla till further notice.
Assignments for Megha Bhardwaj and Chandan Kumar
Megha Bhardwaj, an employee from the 2016 batch who had been assigned to the position of Joint Secretary in the Department of Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare, has been appointed District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Koderma till further notice.
In addition, Chandan Kumar, a member of the 2016 batch of officers assigned to the Director of Agriculture position, has been named the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Ramgarh till further notice.
Role Changes for Himanshu Mohan, Vishal Sagar, and Lokesh Mishra
Himanshu Mohan, a member of the 2016 batch of officers who had been assigned as the Joint Secretary of the Department of Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs, has been named the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Latehar till further instructions.
Vishal Sagar, who was formerly employed as the Director of Information Technology, was instead appointed as the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Deoghar upon his move.
Until further instructions, Lokesh Mishra, who had been assigned as the Tribal Welfare Commissioner, has been promoted to District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Khunti.
