Relatives of a patient who died at MGM Hospital, Jamshedpur, accuse a hospital employee of using a steam pipe instead of oxygen. The hospital refutes these allegations.
JAMSHEDPUR – A 25-year-old patient, Sadaf Parveen from Dangodih, Kapali, died at MGM Hospital on Monday afternoon, leading to chaos as her relatives accused hospital staff of improper treatment.
They claim that H Kumar Mahto, an employee, used a steam pipe instead of an oxygen pipe for the patient.
The hospital administration, however, denies this allegation.
The superintendent, Dr. Ravindra Kumar, clarified that the patient was in critical condition and was being prepared for referral to RIMS hospital in Ranchi.
An oxygen pipe was used in the ambulance for the patient, who was struggling with severe gasping, leading to her demise.
The superintendent emphasized that the ambulance only carries oxygen pipes, and the family’s allegations of a steam pipe are baseless.
