Thieves ransack two duplexes in Sahara City, Jamshedpur, making off with valuables worth around INR 5 lakh in broad daylight. The incident stirs panic among residents.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a daring daylight theft, three thieves in an Eeco Sport car looted two duplexes in Mango Sahara City, Jamshedpur, making off with valuables worth approximately INR 5 lakh within a span of just 16 minutes.
The burglars targeted Diamond Duplex No. 59 and Pearl Duplex No. 107, uprooting the locks along with the latches to gain access.
At the time of the theft, PK Sinha, the owner of one duplex and former president of Sahara City Society, was in Bengaluru. Neelam Sinha, owner of the second duplex, was on duty in Bistupur.
The incident has sent shockwaves among residents, particularly because it occurred in broad daylight.
Following information from locals, the in-charge of Mango police station arrived at the scene to inspect both properties.
Based on Neelam Sinha’s statement, police registered cases of theft against unknown individuals.
CCTV footage from around the two duplexes and the main gate of Sahara City shows two individuals exiting a car and entering the duplexes.
The thieves are seen executing the heist between 11:04 and 11:20 am.
The number plate of the car used for the theft has been recorded in the CCTV.
