Thieves break into a locked house in Ramdas Bhatta, Bistupur, stealing cash and jewelry totaling to approximately INR 6.5 lakh.
JAMSHEDPUR – A burglary has been reported in a locked house located in Ramdas Bhatta under the jurisdiction of Bistupur police station in Jamshedpur.
Thieves allegedly broke the main door lock and stole jewelry and other valuable items, including approximately INR 3 lakh in cash.
The total value of the stolen goods is estimated to be around INR 6 to 6.5 lakhs.
The homeowner, who was away at the time, had left the responsibility of looking after the house to a caretaker.
The caretaker discovered the theft on Monday morning and immediately informed the house owner, who upon returning to the city, was taken aback by the state of the house.
The police have been informed of the incident and are currently investigating the case.
