In Saturday special drive, JNAC enforces regulations against commercial misuse of parking spaces in Sakchi, leading to several demolitions.
JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC), the local civic body, continued its crackdown on Saturday against the commercial misuse of parking spaces in the Sakchi area of Jamshedpur.
The raid saw the demolition of several illegal constructions by bulldozers as part of the drive.
This action comes after the issuance of notices to 45 building owners in the Sakchi area, instructing them to utilize their parking lots strictly for parking purposes.

As of now, only 15 building owners have complied with these directives, ceasing commercial activities and commencing the construction of designated parking spaces.
However, many others have turned a deaf ear to these instructions.
In response, the JNAC initiated a fresh drive on Saturday, targeting and demolishing illegal commercial constructions in the parking spaces of several buildings.

The special officer of JNAC emphasized that this drive would be an ongoing effort.
He said that building owners are required to create parking lots in their basements, as indicated in the building’s construction map.

He said that those who follow these directives will face no repercussions. However, non-compliance will lead to departmental action.
