Citizens led by Congress District Vice President protest against irregular water supply and motor confiscation by the Mango Municipal Corporation in Jamshedpur.
JAMSHEDPUR – In the Mango region of Jamshedpur, local residents protested against the Mango Municipal Corporation over water supply issues on Thursday.
Led by the District Vice President of the Congress, the public staged a protest outside the district headquarters.
The protesters argue that despite paying regular water bills, they are not receiving adequate water supply.
The situation is so dire that individuals are being forced to install water motors, an additional expense that includes the burden of electricity bills.
Previously, locals had lodged complaints with the Municipal Corporation regarding this issue, but no effective action was taken.
Instead, the Municipal Corporation shifts blame to the Drinking Water Department, who, in turn, points fingers at the Electricity Department.
This game of blame-shifting has left the public in distress, bearing the brunt of the administration’s inaction.
The protesters demanded that the Municipal Corporation ensures proper water supply before confiscating any water motors.
They have submitted a letter stating their grievances to the Deputy Commissioner of the district, hoping for an appropriate and immediate response.
