Hazaribagh natives Swati Sandeep and Gagan Kumar Modi have brought honor to their district with their commendable success in the UPSC examinations.
Hazaribagh – In an admirable display of scholarly perseverance, Swati Sandeep and Gagan Kumar Modi from Hazaribagh have uplifted their district’s prestige by acing the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations.
Swati Sandeep, a resident of Hazaribagh New Area Chauthi Gali and alumnus of DAV Public School Hazaribagh, clinched the 490th rank in her maiden UPSC attempt.
Having completed her higher secondary studies in her hometown, Swati went on to major in Physics from Sant Columba College in 2021 and later pursued Sociology in preparation for the UPSC exams. Speaking about her journey, Swati emphasized the critical role of discipline and committed studying, having devoted approximately 12 hours daily for nine months to her preparation.
Meanwhile, Gagan Kumar Modi, a native of the Algadiha block, secured the 556th rank in the UPSC examinations on his fifth attempt.
After receiving early education from Sariya Government School and North Chotanagpur High School, Modi pursued Engineering in Allahabad and then began preparing for civil service examinations, aspiring to join the Indian Police Service.
He expressed his firm belief in the potential of hard work and concentration in achieving success, especially for students from rural backgrounds.
His success has stirred joy among his community members, and he has been congratulated by local MLA Amit Kumar Yadav and former MLA Professor Janki Prasad Yadav.
