Jamshedpur – Road Melters, an organization in Jamshedpur, hosted a Distinguished Gentlemen Ride on Sunday morning, in an effort to raise awareness about prostate cancer and men’s mental health.

Kicking off at 7 am from Dorabji Tata Park, Bishtupur Northern Town, participants on vintage bikes rode to Hotel Kenelight, Sakchi.

Upon reaching their destination, senior urologist Dr. DK Mishra educated the riders about prostate cancer and the importance of mental health for men.

This global charity event, held annually since 2012, takes place simultaneously worldwide, with Road Melters serving as the official host in Jamshedpur.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) is a unique global initiative aimed at raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.

Participants, dressed in English suits and boots, ride vintage vehicles embodying the spirit of gentlemanliness.

The event started in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa, inspired by a photo of Don Draper from the TV show “Mad Men”, riding a classic bike and sporting his best suit.

The ride has since expanded worldwide, raising $31.6 million USD from 340,000 riders in 115 countries.

DGR encourages riders to dress dapperly and behave courteously, highlighting not only classic style but also classic manners.
