Jamshedpur court rejects BJP leader Abhay Singh’s bail in connection to Shastri Nagar violence case. Decision follows extensive hearings.
Jamshedpur – In a significant development, the bail plea of BJP leader Abhay Singh, who was arrested in connection with the Shastri Nagar violence case, has been rejected by Jamshedpur court.
The decision was delivered by ADJ 2 Abhas Verma following a comprehensive hearing of the case.
The communal tension that had engulfed Shastri Nagar in the Kadma police station area back in April had led to several policemen, including SSP Prabhat Kumar, getting injured while trying to control the violent stone-pelting situation.
The incident saw numerous BJP leaders, including Abhay Singh, being implicated.
An FIR was registered against hundreds of people associated with the incident.
Notably, an advocate Chandan Choubey and others had been granted bail earlier, which makes this recent rejection of Abhay Singh’s plea a notable event.
Those who were earlier granted bail in the same case included advocate Chandan Choubey, Chandan Kumar Das, Bhola Lohar, Shankar Rao, Kanhaiya Pandey, Bhim Yadav, Anirudh Giri, and Rajesh Choubey.
Now, after the denial of bail, it is expected that this verdict will have substantial implications for the ongoing case.
