Road safety drive in Jamshedpur: Encroachments cleared, fines imposed. Deputy Commissioner’s orders result in ₹43800 fine from 29 individuals.
Jamshedpur – A flying squad of JNAC conducted a special drive in several areas under its jurisdiction and cleared roadside encroachments. The squad also collected Rs. 43800 as fines from 29 individuals violating the rules.
The drive was conducted as per the orders of the Special Officer of JNAC according to the instructions issued by the DC in a recent meeting.
A road safety meeting wsa held earlier in which the DC had issued instructions to clear the encroachments.
The meeting had prompted a swift response to clear roadside encroachments and enforce penalties.
Following the orders of the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, a flying squad swung into action in several areas, including Sakchi, Kadma, Bishtupur, and Baridih.

The concerted action led to the removal of encroachments from the area and Straight Mile Road.
Throughout the process, a total of 29 people were fined, resulting in a cumulative penalty of Rs 43,800.
These measures were taken in line with the instructions of the Special Officer overseeing the operation.

The flying squad was led by the city manager and comprised regional revenue workers, including Prakash Bhagat, Binod Tiwari, Krishna Ram, and Ganesh Ram.
The swift and decisive action of the squad has created a flutter among the roadside vendors.
