Jharkhand Congress President Rajesh Thakur Criticizes RBI’s Withdrawal of 2000 Notes

State President Rajesh Thakur condemns RBI’s decision to withdraw ₹2000 notes, accuses central government of misusing power.

JHARKHAND – State President of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, Rajesh Thakur, has strongly reacted to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) decision to withdraw ₹2000 notes.

Thakur claims that institutions like the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and now the RBI, are being manipulated by the central government.

While heading to the swearing-in ceremony in Karnataka, Thakur declared that the decision signifies the beginning of the campaign for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He added that these moves signal an imminent change in government at the center, suggesting that Prime Minister Modi’s term is nearing its end.

“Modi’s government is going to go from the center,” Thakur stated, clearly indicating his conviction that the ruling party will not retain power after the next election.

He said that Congress would be the first choice of the people next elections and things are turning sour for BJP leading up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He said that economic decisions, such as the withdrawal of ₹2000 notes, are something that the people would remember next time they cast their ballot.
